About
As a corporate lawyer, I work across foreign direct investment, corporate law, company formation and licensing, structuring and restructuring, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, banking and financial-services law, arbitration and representation, and the technology, digital-asset, AI and cloud sectors.
Much of my work sits at the frontier of Bhutan's law. Gelephu Mindfulness City is building a new jurisdiction from the ground up, and Bhutan itself is opening to digital assets, fintech, AI and cloud services. That means working on questions few lawyers have had to answer: how a virtual asset business is licensed, how one of the world's largest crypto exchanges redomiciles, how a satellite internet provider or an AI service enters a market, and how banking, data and payments fit within a legal system that is still taking shape. Alongside practice, I research and publish on the intersection of ICT, law and sustainable development in Bhutan.
Our clients range from early-stage startups to multinational corporations and international law firms. What they share is a need for a clear reading of Bhutan's regulatory environment, paired with sound international commercial judgment.
My interest in how technology and law shape one another led me to build Weblaya Digital, Global Law Lists.org and LawAOS, an operating system for running a law firm.
The principle behind my firms is simple: practical, effective legal solutions grounded in careful analysis and a genuine understanding of Bhutan's business and regulatory realities.
